Facial masks are good for a
variety of reasons. They can tighten your pores, remove excess oil from
the skin, or moisturize and replenish dry skin.
There are many types of masks here a few you might want to try.
Normal
Skin
- Just Peachy - Facial
Recipe
- Ingredients:
- 1 medium peach
- 1 tablespoons honey
- oatmeal
-
1 vitamin E capsule
- Directions:
Cook peach until its soft, mash with a fork, add honey and oatmeal until
its a thick consistency. Apply to skin. Let sit for 10 minutes, rinse
well with cool water.
Apple Mask

Prep/Application Time : 0:45
1 apple - quartered, cored
2 Tbls. honey
1/2 tsp. ground sage
-Chop apple in food processor.
-Add honey and sage to apple. Mix well.
-Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
-Pat mixture onto face with a light tapping motion, tapping until honey
feels tacky.
-Leave on for 30 minutes.
-Rinse.
Green
Bean Mask
Have
you been throwing out left-over beans? After seeing this mask recipe, you
will never do it again.
Ingredients
- handful of green beans
- tsp sour cream

1 vitamin E
capsule
Directions
1. Using microwave, cook beans in a small amount of water.
2. Drain.
3. Puree the beans and then mix them with sour cream
Apply mask to face and then relax for 10 minutes to allow the
ingredients to soften your skin.
*I mentioned that your skin will be soft. That is because of the sour
cream. Sour cream is rich in lactic acid and helps soften and remove dead
skin cells.
You could also use dry beans instead of the cooked variety. Grind the
into a powder and watch them help remove dead skin cells.
Orange Yogurt Mask
An amazing mask that will show definite results!
Ingredients Needed:
- 1 tsp plain yogurt (I chose Balkan Style)
- the juice of 1/4 of an orange
- 1 cap of
Thiamine(B1)
Stir to mix and then dip fingers into mixture and smooth onto face. The
sensation is both cool and relaxing. Leave on for a five minutes and then
rinse. If you are feeling sluggish, this is the perfect mask for you.
*Yogurt will cleanse and nourish

Vitamin C and AHA's
*Don't let the yogurt go to waste. Add a little fresh fruit and you have
the makings of a nutritious lunch.
Egyptian
Facial Mask
A little egg, a little milk, a little olive oil and you have the makings
of an ancient mask.
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1 T flour
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 T whole milk
Mix together all ingredients until creamy and well blended. Spread the
mixture over your face and neck and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse well
with cool water and pat dry.
Yield: 2 ounces, enough for one facial mask.
Normal/Oily Skin
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon yeast
1 Tablespoon baking soda
1 Teaspoon water
1Vitamin C
capsule (open capsule
and use powder)
1 cap of liquid
vitamin A
1 cap of Pyridoxine(B6)
Mix ingredients together and apply (after cleansing) from forehead to
collarbone. Allow mask to sit for 15 minutes (note: it will not dry or
harden) as the yeast deep-cleans and tightens pores and the baking soda
evens out blotchiness. Rinse with warm water and follow with an oil-free
moisturizer.
- Carrot Top Facial Mask
Recipe
- For normal - oily skin
- Ingredients:
- 2-3 large carrots
- 4 1/2 tablespoons honey

1 vitamin E capsule
- Directions:
Cook carrots, then mash. Mix with honey. Apply gently to the skin, wait
10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.

Dry Skin
Cucumber Mask:
What you need:
1 Tbsp. Plain yogurt
1 Tbsp. Cucumber
1 Tbsp. Parsley
1 vitamin E
capsule
Chop the cucumber finely and mix with the yogurt and parsley until
smooth. Cover your face with this creamy mask. This will rejuvenate your
skin as it moistens. Leave the mask on for approximately 15-20 minutes for
the best effects. Rinse with water. *This mixture can not be stored.
Mint mask:
1 Tbsp. Ground or powdered Spearmint
1 Tbsp. Honey
1 Tbsp. Oil (cooking)
1 cap of
Liquid CoQ10
Combine all ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Apply this mask to your
face, leaving on for approximately 20 minutes. Afterward, rinse with cool
water. *This mixture can be stored for up to a month in a glass jar.
Artichoke Facial Mask
A little oil, mashed artichoke and lemon juice is all you need for this
mask. All the amounts needed are included in this recipe.
- 1 fresh artichoke heart, well cooked or canned hearts in water, not
oil
- 2 tsp. light oil (avocado, olive, canola)
- 1/2 tsp vinegar or fresh lemon juice

1 vitamin E capsule
- 1
vitamin A
capsule
In a small ceramic bowl, mask the artichoke heart and mix with oil and
vinegar. Stir well, until you have a smooth paste Massage the mixture onto
your face and neck and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm
water and pat your skin dry. Yield: 1 treatment
- Banana Supreme Facial
- (dry skin)
- Ingredients:
- 2 medium bananas
- *honey optional
- Directions:
Mash bananas with a fork...don't over mash or it will be too runny. Add
honey if desired. Smooth over skin, let sit for 10 minutes, rinse off
with cool water.

Oily Skin
Pore Cleaner Exfoliate Mask
Mix baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water into a paste and apply to
your skin. Let dry on the skin then wash off with cool water.
Tighten Pores Mask
This is a German remedy used to tighten pores, clear blemishes... and
probably more. You take a little cube of yeast, and mix most of it in a
bowl with water until mixed. Then you apply it and wait until it is
completely dry, then rinse your face.
Egg Yolk Mask
This mask is great for the skin. It leaves it refreshed and feeling great.
Take one beaten egg yolk and apply liberally to the face with a cotton
ball. Let dry on the skin for 15 minutes then rinse off with cool water.
The egg yolk has a lot of protein and fatty acids in there that will help
your skin. This mask will replenish your skin and tighten up your pores.
Honey Oatmeal Mask
Great for oily skin. Mix some honey, Pyridoxine(B6) and oatmeal into a paste and apply to
skin for 15 minutes. The oatmeal will absorb the oil of your skin.
Milk of Magnesia
Very nice mask for oily skin. You can apply a thin layer to the skin and
leave it on all day. Be sure to use flavorless Milk of Magnesia.
Mask with Alcohol
1 teaspoon alcohol, 2 teaspoons of distilled water, 10 drops of natural
lemon juice, 5 drops of honey, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, enough baby
powder to mix it into a smooth paste. to be used only once a day, an hour
before bed time. apply paste to entire face area using cotton ball, or
your fingers. Leave on your face for half an hour, then rinse very well
with warm water, dry well but without scrubbing.
Mask For Oily Skin
* Mash 1/4 of a tomato (first remove skin and seeds),
* 2 tsps. of plain yogurt,
* 1 tsp mashed cucumber,
* 2 tsp aloe gel,
* 3 tsp Oatmeal powder,
* and 2 mint leaves (crushed).
* vitamin C
Mix ingredients together in a bowl, apply to face and leave on for about
10 minutes. rinse with warm water. try using a warm, damp face cloth to
remove.
- Apple Zinger Facial Mask

Ingredients:
- Directions:
Mix the grated apple and mix with honey to make a mask. Smooth over skin
then let sit for 10 minutes, rinse off with cool water.

Beat egg white until it is fluffy, add sour cream and grapefruit juice
and blend well. Apply to face for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Anti-Aging Face

Refreshing Mask
* 1/2 a cup of natural yogurt
* a couple of chopped strawberries
* 1/2 a cup of oats
* 1 cap of liquid

and put them together in a blender until smooth. then put the mask on your
face with your fingers and lie back and relax for 15 minutes. And for an
extra boost put cucumbers on your eyes and you'll be amazed at the
difference!

Nourishing Face Mask

- a little half and half

Lotions:
Normal/Oily Skin
Rosewater Skin Lotion
Rejuvenates and smoothes your skin.
- 1 tbsp Rose water
- 3 tbsp rose soluble
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp glycerin
- 2 capsules
vitamin E
(800
IU's)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Break open capsules to remove vitamin E and combine with other
ingredients in a small bowl. Mix well. To use, apply to your skin with
cotton balls. Refrigerate between uses.

Orange Lotion For Dry Skin
What you need:
1/2 oz. Cocoa butter (melted)
1 oz. Orange juice (fresh is better)
2 capsules
vitamin E
(800
IU's)
1 oz. Warm olive oil
2 drops of Orange flower oil.
Mix all ingredients until smooth. This can be stored in a jar or
bottle. Just apply to clean skin for a different, zesty moisturizer that
won't clog your pores. This is a great all-natural moisturizer. *This
lotion can be stored for up to a week.

Lotion For

Rosemary Lotion
1 oz. Rose petal or rose water
1 Tbsp. Egg white
1 oz Rosemary tea
Mix all ingredients until smooth, and apply the solution to your face.
Leave it on for 20 minutes, and rinse with cool water. This oil-free
lotion is especially good for moisturizing oily skin. *This lotion can not
be stored. It must be made fresh for each use.

The Beauty of Bananas
- The Body Shop used 250,000 bananas each year for their banana
products.
- Meadowsweet of England, uses bananas in their lip balm, soap,
shampoos and conditioners.
- Guatemalan ladies often used mashed bananas to help relieve dry
skin. If you can talk yourself into a nice leisurely rest for 20
minutes or so, slice a banana and then simply lay the slices on your
face to allow the oils and vitamins to permeate the layers.
- For damaged hair, combine a ripe banana with a few drops of almond
oil. Massage into your hair and then allow to work it's wonders for
about 15 minutes. Rinse with soda water and then shampoo and condition
as usual.
- In 1999 at the largest Tudor archeological site in the world,
something incredible was unearthed. It was a lowly banana... a very
well preserved 500 year old banana. See link below.
- Bananas were officially introduced to America at the 1876
Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition. Each banana was wrapped in foil
and sold for a dime.
- If you are looking for an exfoliating mask, blend a mashed banana
with white cosmetic clay and apply. This mask is both moisturizing and
nourishing.
- Your hands can benefit from bananas as well. Mash a banana with a
little butter and then rub the mixture into your hands. That is all
there is to it.

FOR BLEMISHES
1) Mix two tablespoons baking soda with enough warm water for a soft paste.
2) To use: massage onto blemishes and leave on for fifteen minutes. Rinse off with cool water.
1)Make a paste out of 3 tbsp oatmeal. 1 tsp unprocessed honey, 1/4
warm water,1 tsp white wine vinegar and 1 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice.
2)Massage gently onto skin to slough off dead skin cells.
3)Rinse off with warm water
*The blemish treatments are good for all skin types.
Blemished
Skin Mask
This mask is especially
designed to help clear up your skin. Contains a tomato, a little oatmeal
and some lemon juice.
1/2 tomato - chopped
1 Tbls. instant oatmeal
1 tsp. lemon juice
1
cap of Pyridoxine (B6)
-Blend all ingredients just until combined.
-Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on
blemished areas, such as cheeks, forehead, or chin.
-Add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask, if necessary.
-Leave on 10 minutes.
-Scrub off with a clean washcloth dipped in warm water.

FACIAL CLEANSERS
1)Mix whole milk with enough wheat germ to make a soft paste.
2) Add a small amount of honey and mix well.
3) To use: Rinse face with warm water then gently massage mixture onto damp
face. Rinse with warm and then cool water.
* Gentle face wash for normal to dry skin.
1)Mix 2 tablespoons of finely ground almonds, 2 tablespoons oat flour, and 1
tablespoon of chamomile tea (dry).
2)To use: Place 1 tablespoon of dry mixture in hand and mix with olive oil
or water to form a paste. Massage gently onto moist skin. DO NOT SCRUB!
Rinse with warm then cool water.
Gentle wash for normal to dry skin.
1)Apply mashed strawberries to the face and massage in a circular motion
before rinsing
